The Mets are the favorite in this series winning 4 of 7 regular season games against the Dodgers. I'm rooting for the Dodgers and foresee a "freeway series" with the Padres. I like the Dodgers in 5 games.

Got to think the Mets have the better team and enough offense to make up for their starting pitching in this round. Don't really like the Dodgers or the Mets too much, but I am looking forward to the Maddux-Glavine matchup in Game 2.Comment -

Baseball is all about pitching.
I don't think that anyone has a bullpen comparable to the Mutts.
That's playoff baseball... That's how it ALWAYS is and that's how it always will be.
I like the Mutts in 3 or 4.
El Duque is sick in the playoffs, Glavine is better than serviceable, also....
I think there's too much knee-jerk in favor of the dog here - but I could be wrong.Comment -

But their bullpen can lock it down if it really has to.
I'd favor the Mutts' pen over SD's, but only by a touch. SD is real nice, though.
It's scary when IMO their biggest 'liability' is their closer (the Mutts, that is) - and he has had a brilliant 2nd half.
The rest of the pen is as solid as I've seen since maybe the Angels when they took it down... I think they could be even better if Wagner wasn't so damn scary and had better command of that slider.Comment -
The Dodgers are hot right now some say.... I say that the rockies were that bad. Sweeping the worst team in baseball doesn't make you hot. Also the giants were never a concern.
