Pirates at Reds - Sep 8th
    Seeing Reds Over Pirates

    By: Marc Lawrence

The Reds look to turn their slump around tonight at home against the Pirates.

Reds turn to ex-Twin Kyle Lohse as they look to stay in the hunt in the wild and wacky National League playoff chase.

Winners of only two of their last 12 games, Cincinnati has lost their grip on the NL Wildcard and really needs to get it in gear. The good news is they are home and facing a Pittsburgh team that has only won 21 times in 72 away games this year.

Particularly impressive is the fact Lohse owns a neat 3.03 ERA in his last five starts, a full two runs better than his counterpart, Ian Snell, over the same span.

Look for the Pirates to drop to 7-17 in road series openers here tonight.

I feel the over could be the play in this game.

Both pitchers aren't exactly great. Not to mention Lohse is just that bad.

I like Cincinatti tonight, maybe even in the runline...
