Florida Marlins (-110)
The fighting fish continue to amaze as they won their 7th straight yesterday afternoon by a 4-3 count over the Brew Crew.
They've taken the first three of this four game set, and remarkably only find themselves 3 games in back of the NL Wild Card leading Reds. Simply amazing as this young squad continues to play solid baseball with every passing day even though their roster was completely retooled in the off-season.
Josh Johnson toes the rubber this evening sporting an overall ERA of 2.90 and a W/L mark of 11-6. He's 2-0 in his L/3 starts with a 3.15 ERA and has struck out 13 while walking 7 in 20 innings of work. The Brewers have never faced him before, so they're sure to have trouble a few times through the order. Ben Sheets has been another disappointment for the Milwaukee club as the injury bug bit him once again this year. However, he has made six straight starts since the end of July, and is coming off one of his better starts of the year. Nevertheless, the road has been unkind to him this year as he's 1-2 with a 6.92 ERA.
Look for this pesky Florida line-up to give him trouble as they sweep the four game set and head to St. Louis en fuego!!!
