Yankees/Red Sox series thoughts

They start a five game series at Fenway Friday. Here are the pitching matchups:

Fri Gm 1 Wang vs. J Johnson
Fri Gm 2 Ponson vs. Lester
Sat R. Johnson vs. Beckett
Sun Mussina vs Schilling
Mon Lidle vs Wells

Red Sox probably win Game 2, Yankees probably win Game 3, others are tossups.

I was shocked that ESPN wasn't carrying all five games. They are only covering three.

I think it will be interesting... to say the least.
Like the Yanks to win 3 of 5 at least... not that Im gonna be rooting for them.

Lidle won't be starting in that 5th game, because of some family issues of some sort.

I just think the Red Sox are overrated but they are much better at home so I could see 3-2 either way.

New York would be my pick but I usually stay away from double headers...

Game 3 ... The Yankees will use Beckett for batting practice.

Agreed with kdmfox. Personally, if I were to bet this game, there is no way that I could trust Beckett. The only way I could go is with Unit. Having said this, I have not bet the game. My two cents.
