Marlins at Dodgers - Aug 15th
    Dodgers Out To Hook Marlins

Two rookie hurlers are set to do battle tonight in LA, and the Dodgers should have an edge over the Marlins.
    By: Ross Benjamin

The Dodgers are on a 16-1 tear right now and this seems like too cheap a price to turn my back on with all things considered.

Dodger starting pitcher Chad Billingsley has shown why he was so highly regarded and coveted by the Dodgers now that he has received his shot in the big leagues. Billingsley has posted a very good 2.12 ERA in his last six starts. His one flaw is occasional control problems, but he has been very resilient in wiggling out of jams.

Marlin starter Anibal Sanchez has also had a good rookie campaign. However, he enters the game in bad form off his last three starts.

After yesterday's -155 lemon, thanks for this -140 jewel on a team that is 16-1 ... I'm thinking that anyone that needs to pay for these kinds of picks should have their head examined ... Try throwing out a dog with some good logic.

Even with his very good 2.12 ERA in the last six Billingsley still might be pitching for his spot in the rotation tonight. His control problems are a little more than occasional IMO with 47 walks in 61 innings. Your right though as he does play the role of a magician often getting out of the jams he puts himself in.

Sanchez has actually had two quality starts in a row and 5 of the last six. He did have a clunker 3 starts ago which is what make the "Last 3" stat as ugly as it is.

I don't necessarily have a lean one way or the other except that Billingsley is the one pitcher in the Dodgers rotation that I just can't play. I believe the Marlins have the pitching edge here but its hard to play against a team as hot as the Dodgers.

All Aboard The LA Money Train

        By: Mike Rose

The Dodgers should continue their recent trend tonight versus the Marlins in Los Angeles.

We are very high on tonight's starting pitcher for the Marlins, rookie Anibal Sanchez, but we are going with the money train that is the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers are currently on an amazing 16-1 streak and have brought themselves back from the dead to take a 2-1/2 game lead in the NL West. Dodgers' rookie pitcher Chad Billingsley has kind of been flying under the radar since entering the rotation back in June. He has won his last three decisions, giving up just three earned runs in 17 innings of work. He has already beat the Marlins once this season, shutting them down on one run and three hits in Florida.

We have won some cash this year backing Sanchez in certain spots, but facing the Dodgers right now is a tall order.

        Play: Dodgers -140

I am not so confident in taking the Dodgers ... I think I will stick with the under. The under has cashed in six of the last seven Dodgers games...
