Most feared hitter in Baseball right now
I had to steal this poll off of ESPN.

Who do you find to be the most feared hitter? Who would you not mind giving the free pass to even with basesloaded?

    David Ortiz
    Manny Ramirez
    Jim Thome
    Albert Pujols

Right now, I would have to go with David Ortiz, he is fastly starting to piss me off more often then not with all these damn Homers. Along with his clutch game winning/ending hits. So yes, that is my choice as of now.

Ortiz is the best clutch hitter in the game today, so he would be the one I would pitch around.

I'm most afraid when David Wright comes to the plate if I'm on the other team.

I have to say Ortiz with Thome (who has no votes) being a close second.

I agree, he is fastly becoming a great player.
He is my cheap AROD replacement at 3rd base. That you can get in the 2nd or 3rd round of the Fantasy drafts. Im sure that will change in coming years. He will bring the same stats at a lower pick.

                  Yes Dan, very happy now.

The two guys with the most clutch hits this season are Ryan Zimmerman and Jeff Francouer, so it's hard to say who is the best clutch hitter over time.
I would say that, in a vacuum, the answer is Pujols. Fatass gets all the love, but it's only because he has Dumbass behind him. Whether it's Rolen, Encarnacion, Edmonds, or whoever, the opposing pitcher isn't terrified of those guys. Ortiz knows he is getting a pitch in the heart of the plate.

I knew Taco would like that one. He is not the threat he use to be, but he can still hurt you. 720 and counting Dan.

Maybe Dontrelle Willis should be named here.

Well if he has to run the bases, yes. Like I was telling you last night, he reminds me of Edgar Martinez in his washed up years. You lose runs if he is the lead or middle runner. Because he cant round third, and just stops there. Just like Barry did last night.

So with that being said, wasnt there reports of Barry saying he would like to play for the Mariners, as the DH? Edgar Martinez part two?
