    -1 Runline formula

This is something I seen years back, hope it helps some. It also works for hockey if you want to bet that sport.

You can always use the -1 RL formula to reduce juice. It goes like this:

You just have to know how much to bet on the ML, then bet all the would be profits from that on the -1.5 line. To figure out how much to bet on the ML, just do this.

A game you want to bet,

    White Sox (-132) ML
    White Sox -1.5 (+164)RL

    Take 100/132=.7576
    Add 1 = 1.7576
    Take 100 and divide by 1.7576 =$56.90

    Example:

    Bet $56.90 at -132 to win $43.11
    Bet $43.11 at -1.5 (+164) to win $70.70.
If White Sox win by 1, you break even, just like the -1 line.
If they win by 2 or more, you win $113.81

    Formula =
    White Sox -1 (+113)

    Example #2

    Arizona -177
    Arizona (-1 1/2) +115
    100/177=.56497 +1= 1.56497

    100/1.56497=63.89

    63.89 to win 36.10
    36.10 to win 41.52

    99.99 to win 77.62

This is based on a $100 play, if you want to bet less divide by the number that fits after you get the bet total. (2 = $50 or 4 = $25)

It's real close, but most books don't offer that. This is just away around that.
