    July 2 Ganchalysis
Washington 53% - Seo's performances as a starter earlier this year for the Dodgers were very up and down. Here he is likely to have a quality start. Ortiz has also mixed in some good outings with mediocre ones this year, but he is also likely to have a quality start, although somewhat less likely than Seo. Washington rates a small bullpen edge.

Atlanta 52% - This game has a very high degree of uncertainty and many conflicting likelihoods. Baltimore is terrible vs capable lefties, and Ramirez is outstanding at Turner. However, the Atlanta pen is very vulnerable and unless Ramirez leaves with a sizable lead, Baltimore will have a good shot at coming back. On the other side, the weak Atlanta offense might not be able to take advantage of Benson going on short rest.

San Diego 61% - Morris has been pitching well, but he will be vulnerable off of a high pitch count game with 4 days rest. Young has of course been extremely sharp this year, and he should have another strong outing, although he is prone to early exits which will hurt San Diego here more than it normally would. Both bullpens are in an overextended state, but the San Francisco pen is moreso.

Oakland 59% - Zito is likely to benefit from Doug Eddings' traditionally "wide" strike zone. He is likely to get more borderline calls, which will further help him by forcing the Arizona hitters to be more free-swinging and chase his usually nasty breaking pitches. Zito hasn't been as sharp recently as he was in the beginning of the season, but he is likely to have a quality start here. Webb faded in July last season, and that could well be happening again. However, the Oakland lineup is not is great shape right now, and he is likely to have a sharp outing as well.

Well done the Cubs. Maybe that dog does have some balls after all.

Texas 63% - At first glance, Rodriguez would seem to be in for a bad day, going against the strong Texas lineup at Ameriquest. While he is likely to get hit here, the Texas lineup is also likely to continue to struggle, and Rodriguez could catch a break because of that and have a quality start. Millwood is also likely to have a quality start, as much of the damage he has suffered at home has come at the hands of strong offenses. The Houston pen is a liability as well.
