I just keep looking at these women thinking they're playing this one match for a million bucks. And if either of them loses, they'll still get a whack of cash and life will go on.

Sometimes these are over in less than 90 mins = a million bucks. And I'm worried about my $300 bet

I dont know why but it just happens to her in the last 3 years in the US OPEN .
against Clijsters on 2010 with the foot fault and all of it .
2011 vs Stosur when she argued with the umpire
and now this .. she cant handle the pressue.

Azarenka stands to make tens of millions in endorsements if she wins this match. She'll also have a footprint in the American market, similar to what happened to Sharapova. We tennis fans know her of course but she'll become a household name to non-tennis american fans if she wins this open, especially by beating the best woman ever to play the game.

Told you. They root for a great match and in the end, root for the one they want to win. That is why the NY crowd is the best Slam crowd IMO. Better than the uppity Euro BS in the French and Wimbledon.

Different cultures I guess. I love the NY crowd. Loved every minute of being there. Crowd gets on your ass when you're not playing well. Don't have a problem with that at all. And what's wrong with wanting to see three sets instead of a 60 minute steam roller? With how much you pay for tickets, I want to see more than 60 minutes.
