1. Cañas over Troicki.
Rationale: Troicki struggled against Ljublicic even though all Ljublicic had was his serve and an occasional good forehand, looked like he wasn't trying for half the match and still it took Troicki until late in the third set to win. Cañas is not like Ljublicic, he won't give up as easily as he's just getting into a grasscourt groove before Wimbledon.
2. Parlay: Verdasco over Simon/ Cilic over Johansson
Simon is a good grass courter but he has had it very easy in Young and qualifier Groth, and it took him some doing to beat him. Verdasco is a better player and is rolling along in straight sets against both of his opponents. Verdasco is too good for Simon.
Cilic is on a roll. He defeated (2) Mathieu quite easily after first set jitters, then took care of his second opponent in simple fashion. Johansson has not been tested at all, he's only played one set in two rounds. He defeated Nishikori tough in the first set, but Nishikori retired right after. Leaves you thinking whether Nishikori was held back in that first set. He also defeated Tursunov by walkover, and Tursunov walked off the court with his double partner in the middle of a match, and got banned
- Also Johansson has done pretty badly this season, this is the best he's done this year, and with a bit of luck. Cilic is a solid grasscourt player.
