            yes..... a "meltdown"... i think after losing the first set, Gulbis just wanted out:

            "Gulbis is concerned that his efforts this week would leave him fatigued for Melbourne: "I am really happy that I am in the semis but if I finish on Sunday (the men's final is on Saturday night), it will be tough to be 100 per cent for Melbourne.""

              well that explains a bit, but also goes to show his attitude, hes not a real competitor. and if his fitness was up to par, he wouldnt have to worry about fatigue

                  Simon is a bad match-up for Gulbis. Really anyone who makes Gulbis construct points and engage in rallies is going to have a good chance to beat him. Gulbis is best against fellow meatheads who like to just bash the ball.
