    Excellence US Open - ATP - 04/09/2010 (12-1 Run)
    J.Ferrero - J.Melzer Today, 19:30
Tennis - ATP Pick: J Ferrero ML
    Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.80
    Bookmaker: Wettpunkt

Juan Carlos Ferrero and Austrian Jurgen Mulzer not faced since 2008, the year he faced off twice in Hard Court, having split the victories. Previously clashed over four times and Ferrero won three of those meetings.

Ferrero as you know is the best in dirt around the circuit, however has always been a man to be taken into account on any surface. It is a typical Latin player, never give up a bid, he possessed great speed and is very aggressive, this all together with a very strong right. Ferrero after a fantastic season the South American earlier this year where he won two tournaments and was also a finalist in one of them, Ferrero has gone through a worse phase, also something that is perfectly normal because your intense schedule in the first three months of the year. However after a poor tournament for Wimbledon where he was soon eliminated the first round by Malisse. After that Wimbledon to win his way from the beginning of the year, getting to be semi-finalist in Stuttgart and Hamburg and the winner in Umag. Since then took a vacation back in the competition here in Flushing Meadows.

He debuted against an easy Qualifier Martin Klizan, where he won by an easy 6-1 6-3 6-0. It was a game with little or no history, where the highlight is the three possibilities given up by JC Ferrero in Slovak, one achieved by Klizan. Was followed by the Brazilian Ricardo Mello, a game where we saw a Ferrero not to give its maximum, since I knew more or less difficulty finally won the encounter. The highlights go to their May 34 Winners and Break Points won, but that did not erase the exaggerated number of unforced errors, a total of 32. In Chapter Service won 66% and 65% of the points in their first and second services, respectively.

On the other hand we have the Austrian Jurgen Melzer, 29 years is currently number 15 in the world, and is making one of his best seasons of his entire career. Melzer scored the semi-finals of Roland Garros this year, falling only to the winner of that tournament, Rafael Nadal. From this result, the Austrian was present in the quarter-finals in Stuttgart and was also beaten finalists in Hamburg. It was then Quarter-Finalist in Umag, after having registered remoteness on first and second rounds in Toronto and Cincinnati, respectively.
Melzer reached this U.S. Open with a fantastic record of 36 wins and 20 losses in the ATP circuit.

Melzer began to make his debut against an always tough Dmitry Tursunov, a typical set of five sets, I was not surprised, since they are two players of very high quality, though I have not filled the the Austrian eye. Follow the Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis number 152 Ranking ATP, the accent point for me is that if it was not nervousness Berankis, who committed a total of 20 double faults, the nut would have twisted the tail, Melzer needed five sets and 3h30m little more to defeat him, he was downright evil, yielded six break points, nine double faults and her second serve was downright evil.

Conclusion: There will be an easy game, Melzer has experienced difficulty imposing their players before the game perfectly accessible and has now almost seven hours in court over leg later or earlier will yield physically. I think that Ferrero will raise the level for this game, although it has been pretty solid, and try to lengthen the maximum point, using any physical wear of the Austrian. Ferrero to me is the clear favorite for tomorrow.

Richard Gasquet vs Kevin Anderson Today, 18:00
    Tennis - ATP Pick: 1 (-1.5 set)
    Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.75
    Bookmaker: 188bet

It is the first meeting between both players.

Richard Gasquet is currently in 38th place in the world rankings, he prepared for this U.S. Open to play three tournaments. In Washington DC withdrew before the first meeting to Kristof Vliegen in Toronto was eliminated in the first round by Sergiy Stakhovsky in two sets and Cincinnati scored his best result to reach the 1 / 8 finals where eliminated in the first round to Mikhail Youzhny 3 sets in the second round and Michael Berrer in two sets after losing the eighth to Mardy Fish in the final two sets.

In the first round of U.S. Open won Simon Greul in three sets in the second round and beat Nikolay Davydenko in three sets as well.

Kevin Anderson is currently in 77th place in the world rankings, he prepared for this U.S. Open to play three tournaments. Atlanta got the half finals where eliminated players as Janko Tipsarevic in two sets, Donald Young in two sets, Lukas Lack in two sets after losing the 1 / 2 to John Isner in the final three sets. Los Angeles won in two sets Illya Marchenko in the first round and lost to Sam Querrey in three sets in the second round. In Toronto participated in the Qualifying Tournament, where he spent the two opponents, won in the main frame in the first round in two sets Leonardo Mayer and Sam Querrey in three sets after losing to Rafael Nadal in two sets.

In the first round of U.S. Open Somdev Devvarman won in three sets in the second round and beat Thomaz Bellucci in five sets.

Richard Gasquet began very badly to open series in Cincinnati but showed clear improvements to U.S. Open tennis almost good even against Davydenko dominated the encounter all day responding very well to the service with his left and making winners after winners and will face tomorrow service taking an opponent who has nothing more to offer Gasquet, it is true that Kevin Anderson serves very well but I believe that Richard Gasquet will have their chances of break in his service all the sets and Kevin Anderson as a player is very slow field he will have many problems getting the balls that Gasquet will shoot and so I think that Richard Gasquet will not lose more than 1 set tomorrow.

of course, the translate are a bid wrong in each pick but what I mean was that he has very good results this year in south american soil...

I'm from Portugal and I make my pick all in Portuguese, with the study and the writing I don't have any chance to translate myself my picks, the translate have some errors but the most can understand what I mean and who I see the value on the pick.

                        I think

Tough 1st set loss for JC Ferrero... he got back on serve with a break to make it 5-5, then proceeded to give it right back to Melzer on a love service game...
