    questions from beginner tennis better
i want to get started on handicapping tennis. recently ive grown to enjoy the game a lot and thought maybe i can put it some work and make a profit. ive been googling on how to get started but am unable find anything with any real depth to it.

is there a website/blog that delves deep on betting tennis?

what site is best for keeping up with the latest news, matchups, injuries etc on tennis?

where do i find stats on recent matchups? is there a site or do i just google them?

what are the key stats that are the most important to look at? is there a site that has these together or do i just google them for each match?

what are some of the key factors that play the biggest role in determining who wins a match? i know what kind of surface theyre playing in what else? is it mostly stat based like baseball or is it a mix between stats and subjective analysis?

any other thoughts or comments on this would be greatly appreciated. i just want some info to get me started on the right path.

atpworldtour.com and sonyericssonwtatour.com are sites where you can look at players rankings, head to head, recent matches, and all the stats. Follow some of the people's picks on the forums and track their reasoning and how much they win.

tennis.matchstat.com will give you some nice info. There are a bunch of other websites as well. Most are free but there are some that charge.
The surface is of course a big factor. Some players are great on a certain surface but not so good on others.
A lot of people like to stay away from the WTA because there are so many upsets. Women have a harder time holding serve.
Majors and the Masters Series tournaments are better for betting because players give full effort. A lot of times players don't seem to care too much about winning and losing. There are a lot of players who will basically just quit when they are down.

check out tennisinsight.com, they do charge but I think it's worthwhile from a capping perspective.

Bet as many soft lines as you can whilst you are leaning.

I still bet as many soft lines as I can.

tennisinsight is a good site for stats and information regarding players/injuries etc. Good value for money.

I like to look at a players % of points won on serve and break points faced per game, in their recent matches as a guide to their form. Also their return game is just as important. I like to look for players who are winning over around 45% of points on return or a returning at a significantly higher rate than their opponent, say at least 5% more.
It is also important to assess the quality of opponents the players have been competing against recently. 1 player might have won 10 in a row against low level challenger players, while his opponent has gone 5-5 at ATP level.

              Good luck

All the sites above are good - but when you get a chance to watch the matches that is your best source of information Nothing substitutes that. It's where I've made most of my money - if you could do it all on the websites than what edge do you have over other bettors? GL to you.

Keep an eye on what Shari does, she's one of the better cappers for tennis and she is super nice.
Good luck and welcome to the forum.
