Andy Roddick has become fade material
I was talking with someone who knows their tennis very well two weeks ago and they told me they see the downfall of Roddick coming very soon and it will be ugly. I sort of laughed saying I highly doubt that especially after his hardcourt performance this past spring. The fact that he's losing and about to lose to Gilles Simon tonight is a pure joke. Simon hasn't shown anything that he has regained his old form and even then Roddick in the US and on this surface shouldn't be struggling this match.

I was a bit down tonight after Isner killed my parlay but if Roddick does lose I'll be feeling a bit better. Regardless I'm going to be extremely careful with Roddick the rest of this open series and into the US Open.

Even if he turns around and wins this match it won't change my opinion.

Brooklyn Decker is to Andy Roddick as Jessica Simpson was to Tony Romo.

I have that written on a post-it note on my office wall to remind me whenever I'm considering putting decent money on Roddick.

I got suckered into Roddick's hype. Built my parlay around him. Everyone won so far. Need a miracle from you Andy...

Andy's had plenty of success with Brooklyn. Not #1 quality of course but that's hardly her fault.

Yeah, he's had success but I haven't felt comfortable backing him for ages and I like to chalk it up to that.

Simon really didn't show anything special? So his victory in this match is all about Roddick's inactivity and mistakes? Am I right?

are you kidding? every one knows roddicks carrier was over a long time ago

he wanted to quite, his girlfriend talked him out of it but you can tell he is playing half heartedly

I think that loss to fed in the final last year was the nail in the coffin

There is something wrong with Roddick physically from what he is saying or perhaps mentally he doesn't have the passion any more .. but his interview yesterday, he said he had zero energy during the match and has complained about that for a little bit. Maybe Brooklyn gave him the mono.

Later Andy. Quit now while you are far behind, but not as much of a disgrace as James Blake.

why? he pretty much wasn't in real form prior to marrying her...he has improved a lot since then...if anything, she was a positive for him
