Honestly, It was a mistake to play someone outside the top 100 ..

I want to double-up on the return of Megan Moulton-Levy.
Her pairing with Lauren Davis is being underestimated here,
against a VERY young Aussie pair that is unestablished vs.
high level competition.

xdodger19, check it out.. not only have Babos/Pavly gone 4-0
(5/6) as a pair - and against real solid teams, but this Cirstea/Witthoeft
pairing looks weak. Cirstea has not played a doubles match since April 2015.
What more, she is preparing to face Alison Riske in singles. Witthoeft is coming
off the loss to Kerber where she took that tb set (something to be proud of),
her work is done at AO. She certainly doesn't take doubles seriously, either,
last year she dropped 9/10 and her last 8 consecutive in doubles.
The only problem is the match takes place before Pavly faces Svitolina,
so that might be in her head, although I will dismiss that trepidation in
light of their success which carries a responsiblity along with it also.

One interesting possibility is the Australian underdog pairing of Jessica Moore
and Storm Sanders. Always garnishing strong support, they could be capable
of taking it to Atawo/Xu. Atawo/Xu rank in the teens as doubles players,
however that is from their previous teams. They have only played 3 matches
as a pair. 2/1. Their loss was to Babos/Pavly in Sydney, 6-3,6-2, and their 2
victories opponents do not give fright. Moore and Sanders are 0-1, but they
lost at Shenzhen to a Chinese duo, which is understandable. In 2016, they
went 7-2, in 2015 they went 12-2, so they know how to win.

I will also trust Heather Watson over Jennifer Brady. She is solid and
her precise shot targeting can handle Brady. Brady is still young,
perhaps I do not know enough about her now, but she used to be
kind of clunky on her feet. Watson can also act the pusher and
force frustrations on her opponent; what more, she benefits from
fan support in Australia with her British heritage.

Istomin is on top of his game now, he's fit and this match is not on clay.
I also happen to think he's a better player than Pablo Carreno-Busta.
If it were clay, I would not take.
