Interesting stat that I found…
Since both tours added a third week of grass tourneys few years back wimbledons schedule has changed to one week later so they now play a decent amount of matches on the 4th of july…so this stat could mean absolutely nothing or maybe something as far a motivation to win as an american on british soil on the day we stuck it to them..I only counted results when an american player played a non american..
Men are 10-6
Women are 14-6
Granted a few of those wins by the women were by Serena and other heavy chalk but some upsets too..Men tended to be some chalk and some dogs..
but this bears watching as we move forward..gonna be alot this year way the calendar falls tuesday with 64 total
matches going…
