Wimbledon Tennis Contest 2022 - Total Pool of 4,000 Betpoints at Stake!
All picks must be made in this thread, but we cannot accept any entries until after the draw is announced tomorrow (Friday, June 24th). We will post links to the Men's and Women's Draw right here in this first post on Friday.
Men's Draw
Women's Draw
Before the start of the SECOND ROUND of Wimbledon on Wednesday, June 29th, submit 16 Men's Singles and/or 16 Women's Singles players, as well as your predicted total games in the Final for either (or each) gender for tiebreaker purposes. BUT, you may only include 1 (or none if you choose) of the Top 4 seeds for either gender! All 16 (or 32 if playing both) picks plus the tiebreaker(s) MUST GO IN ONE POST, NO EXCEPTIONS! There will also be seeding bonuses equal to seed/100 (so 1-seed adds .01 per round, 32-seed adds .32 per round).
Scoring will begin at Round of 16 as follows (scoring will be cumulative, i.e., be added at each stage):
Reach Round of 16: 1 point + seed bonus
Reach Quarters: 2 points + seed bonus
Reach Semis: 4 points + seed bonus
Reach Final: 8 points + seed bonus
Win Final: 16 points + seed bonus
Seed bonuses remain static each round, so progression for 1-seed would be 1.01, 2.01, 4.01...etc
All unseeded selections get .50 seed bonus
***While you now have until the start of the Second Round to submit your picks, we will strictly enforce the single post rule, so if you accidentally include a player that lost in the First Round, there will be no replacements allowed***
There will be two separate pools for Men's and Women's Singles of 2000 Betpoints each with Distribution for EACH gender as follows:
1st - 1200 Betpoints
2nd - 500 Betpoints
3rd - 300 Betpoints
It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you include seeding numbers with your selections, using the abbreviation "US" for unseeded players.
You are only allowed ONE entry with NO EDITING for any reason
Entries that include more than ONE Top-4 seed are Automatic DQs for that gender
If any of your selections withdraw from the tournament OR you list fewer than 16 players for any gender, the entry is still valid but you will be playing short-handed
If there are ties with the exact same 16 players and the exact same tiebreaker within a gender, tiebreaker becomes EARLIEST TIMESTAMP
For all other ties, tiebreaker is Total Games played in Final match, then if still tied, PRIZES SPLIT
Final must be played to completion for tiebreaker to apply, if there is a Retirement, DQ or Walkover, PRIZES SPLIT
Deadline for entry is at start of the first match of the Second Round on Wednesday, June 29th at 6:05 AM ET.
