    Woz -4 over Swiatek

This is undoubtedly low due to Iga Swiatek's good fortune in Toronto. But she has only beaten #113 Watson and #296 against Rogers along with getting a forfeit against Tomljanovic.

#18 Woz, on the other hand, easily dispatched #42 Putintseva 6-4, 6-2. I feel she can do the same here.

Gotta love women's tennis. Woz wins the first set 6-1 so I turn it off thinking she'll win 6-1, 6-4 or something like that.

    Nope. Swiatek wins 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

She did this vs Puig not too long ago too.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully I'll remember it the next time I think about betting on Woz.

Tbh I see more comebacks from 6:1 than 7:6, even though it doesn't make any sense. Maybe the fav thinks the game is in the bag and relaxes too much in the second set.

Yes this is normally what happens. When i used to play darts i would destroy my opponents first match, second match i would drop my level and it took time to find it again. If my opponent upped their game out of nowhere, i was screwed.

It makes a little bit of sense, especially from the underdog's perspective. She battled so hard in the first set and gave it everything but came up just short. Has to have a psychological effect as your best was not good enough. Whereas if she lost the first set 6-1, then it feels more like she has nothing left to lose.
