What a 1st round matchup we have on our hands.

The over is 21.5 games. I'm super confused.

Why?

Thiem is 4-2 vs Cuevas all on clay. 5 on clay, 1 @ Indian Wells in which Cuevas won in retirement in the 3rd.

4 of 6 matches have gone 3 sets. 5 of 6 have gone over 21.5. The only match that didn't Thiem won 6-4, 6-4 in 2017 @ Madrid.

This seems like a gift and I hope it is.

BOL to all, over 21.5 games for me as I see this being a hard faught match in which Cuevas has a chance to even take it down himself.

I agree, I liked that and Thiem -4 I just know cuevas has a good game and plays him tough so played what I assumed to be the safer play at o21.5 games.

What do you mean? Lot of overs hit in clay. Usually in 3 set fashion but these two have played many 12 and 13 game sets in their 6 H2H matches.

I 100% agree the amount of overs I play are very reduced on clay, but this was a pick in which I liked due to the two players and the amount of history that is there to justify it.

And once again, they play another 12/13 game set, and possibly a third.
