    Fabrice Santoro Today
    Santoro -165 (Dent)
Santoro is 10-0 all-time at this event, having won in it 2007 & 2008. He's been fairly solid on grass in 2009 since he discovered some form at the Eastbourne tournament in June. Dent has good #s on grass, but the majority of his play on the surface came before he stepped away from the game due to injury. In 2009, he's 5-2 on grass, but almost all of that is from qualifying rounds for tourneys with only two main draw matches to date. He dominated a hapless Marcos Daniel in Round 1, winning an incredible 95% on 1st serve. I think that serve will keep Dent in this match, but Santoro is the superior returner of the two and if his serve can be steady, I think he'll come home with a win. Won't be shocked if it goes 3 though. This price is right at the threshold of what I like personally for taking favorites. Much higher and I would rate it a pass (-175 or more).

1st set goes 7-6 to Santoro. Dent's 1st serve has been rock solid, but Santoro won that set on the 2nd serve.

All non-majors are best 2 of 3. Santoro wins in straights, 7-6, 6-4.

That's my favorite one - he can speak French in Russian. Makes absolutely no sense, but it makes me laugh every time.

Taking another shot on Santoro today at smaller stakes.

                        +120 (Querrey)
I was impressed by Santoro's win over Mahut who is very good on grass. His serve was very solid, more so than the day before against Dent. Santoro has a fairly solid record against big servers & already has some practice against guys with bigger serves in this tournament in Dent & Mahut. One of the keys to Santoro's run at Newport this time has been jumping on his opponent's 2nd serve. Querrey was at 78% on 2nd serves against Kim, but Santoro possesses a better return game IMO that will test Big Sam. If Santoro doesn't offer too many break chances and jumps on any 2nd serve opps, he's got a shot here. This one looks like a 3 setter to me and Santoro's liking for this tourney (12-0) may prove to be enough. Should be a fun one.

i'm on favs today.Rochus and querrey.EP what do u think about rochus? His opponent is a a no-namer doubles guy.He beat levine who had a good wimby run but i think it shudn't be valued too much cos levine is not experienced. And rochus is a good grass courter.

Rochus will probably win, but at -200 at my book - no way in hell I could back him against anyone at that price. Whoever wins the Querrey-Santoro match will be the favorite to win the tourney for sure.

Just watched Rajeev Ram kill Rochus in straights. Dominated with his serve. Ram is a pretty tall guy, so he has some pop on his serve. I still think Querrey or Santoro beats him in the Final. Ram made some pretty nice shots, but Rochus played some pretty poor tennis. He bum rushed the net way too much against a guy who can hit as hard as Ram. Hoping Santoro. For those of you with the ability, these matches are on the regional Fox Sports channels.

Santoro had no chance in that match. Querrey's 1st serve was cookin'. Never gave Santoro enough 2nd serve chances to give The Magician a legit shot. Also pretty impressed by some of the movement that Querrey showed. He did a great job at the net. If Querrey serves like that against Ram, he should roll.
