The bet is actually on Federer to win at least 1 set, and if he does then this bet is a winner but if Roddick wins in straight 3 sets then I lose the £1k - you think it's a good bet??

aaah in a word no...what's 20 when you have a 1000...if the bet wins will it make a material difference to your bank answer no...if it loses will it make a difference yes...it might/is almost certain to win but you will want to slash your wrists if it doesn't...2% for the risks asscoaited with gambling on sport is not a good return...not sure how your book operates re no bets/refunds but what if Federer gets injured and retires before he wins a set...keep your bankroll in your pocket there are better bets around
