Does Samantha Stosur have a shot?
I am saying no. I think she gets dominated in two sets.

    Russian versus Russian Final?

    Any opinions here?

I think Kuznetsova will win. She is the superior clay courter of the two and has been in-form all Spring on the surface. Second only to Safina and she's beaten Safina. I think it plays into her advantage as well going up against someone who certainly is just happy to be here. And there still isn't any significant pressure on Kuznetsova IMO because she wasn't a player hardly anyone talked about getting to this point at RG. The price however is horrible. Kuznetsova as a huge favorite with still some question marks on her close out ability in close matches in the spotlight ... not something I would touch as far as a single play. Would use her likely in a parlay or take your shot at set betting with her. I would be surprised though if it was a blowout. Stosur has enough game to win a set and make Kuzy work.

I think she's got an excellent shot to take a set, and like her very much at +4.5 for better than even money.

I don't trust Kuznetsova's ability to close out big matches, but today could have also had something to do with a mental thing playing against Serena, whom she has had trouble finishing off before.

Shit. I forgot they have to turn around and play this tomorrow. That should actually benefit Stosur who was only on court for an hour and a half and finished first while Kuznetsova gets less rest and was almost on court for three hours. Very difficult call.

Stosur is good, and has been playing well, could take the handicap points here.

i think she has a chance, she is a female version of Soderling at this year French Open, i would not put too much money on it, but i think it will be a close encounter, with Kuzi might be for a let down after yesterday huge win against Serena. I would stay away from placing any bets on Kuzi for sure.

I also went on the Aussie small at +270. Lots of factors that made the play attractive. Kuznetsova could be fatigued from the long match yesterday, don't know the health of her ankle and of course, she always has spaz moments at bad times that could give Stosur opportunities. Back on serve in the 1st at 2-2 after breaks for both early.

Stosur's done unless Kuznetsova chokes. The Aussie's serve just isn't a weapon today as it has been for most of this tournament. Both have been pretty bad on-serve, but Kuznetsova is doing more against Stosur's than the other way around. Shitload of errors by Stosur also.

And there my friends was the classic Kuzy choke. Up 5-2 in the tie break, she loses the 2nd set. It's anyone's match now going to the 3rd. If Stosur can maintain her serve early, she's got a real shot.

She just didn't have enough of a serve today. Damn my freaking book for not having set bets. My plan was straight up on Stosu and 3 sets for Kuznetsova to bail it out on. Instead lost small on the straight bet. Oh well. Should be an entertaining final. I got Safina at +200 in futures, so if Kuznetsova's price is ridiculous, may hedge a tad.

Safina and Federer walk away with the titles fairly easily.

Disagree at least on the women's side. Kuznetsova is the only person to beat Safina on clay this season and she has some history of beating her on clay during her career. It's 1-1 in the French Open as well. I do believe Safina will win, but this won't be easy. Both will probably crack under the pressure, so although their two matches this year were straight sets, I think a 3 setter is a good possibility here.

hello, I have a problem with pinnaclesports. I placed a bet for Kuznetsova as matchwinner against Stosur. I did not play live. Now it says its loss when I look to the review it says winner for second set. Kuznetsova lost second set. I'm 100% sure I placed bet for match winner, there is not even an option for playing the second set only first set. I was wondering if there are others out there with the same problem?

Did they reply yet? If you are stating that 2nd set betting was not available for betting at the time your wager was placed, this should be an error they can identify.
