    Monfils/Fed +300/-450
Not new to SBR, just not a regular poster. I browse daily and am an avid tennis, baseball, hockey, basketball and football fan and gambler. Now on to business..

Is bodog the only site to offer a line on the fed/monfils match (at 2pst)? I am surprised as hell to see it at +300 and am considering hitting it hard (figured it to be +200 to +250). Looking to compare it to something as it was posted much higher than I had originally anticipated.

Any thoughts on this before other sites post lines? The value is absolutely in Monfils at +300. For those who have closely followed this year's FO, there is little need to explain why. His knee has not inhibited his movement at all, especially in the AROD match. Fed's desire and occasional resilence may prevail, but if this game is played 3 times, there is little doubt Monfils would take at least one on this stage and surface/relative to current forms.

Any contributing thoughts would be welcomed.

Monfils has a fukking EXCELLENT chance of winning that match, its money on him or no one in this one, i wouldn't bet on Federer here with a free play.

      Federer -400
      Monfils +275

Although Federer dominates the head-2-head, no way you should pay that price.

Bodog's line is the highest I can see, better even than pinnacle's. You could try queue for more on matchbook maybe.

Fed does dominate the h2h it's true, but Monf did take a set off him last year, and clearly gets a lot of inspiration from the crowd. It may be a touch misleading (who knows?), but the form Fed has shown so far this tournament is abysmal (and I wasn't convinced by his win over an exhausted Nadal in Madrid either). Those able to retrieve every ball are something if a problem for him, and that's a game Monfils can play till the end of time.

Still, not quite convinced. How many semis in a row is that for Fed? He keeps screwing up early in slams these days, but somehow gets through. Hrrrrrrm.

Monfils couldn't have asked for a better lead in to have the best shot. He was barely on the court today. Fed was out there forever. For me, this probably is take a shot on Monfils at the better price or skip it. I do think Fed's experience probably finds him a way through, but at this price and with his current form, Monfils does give you the better price and probability of a win perhaps.
