by "surface I don't mean Hard Court... duh...

I mean DecoTurf, DecoTurf 2, PlexiPave, PlayFlex, RuKort, PlexiCushion, Rebound Ace, etc etc...

and also need ball type to add to the database, I'm seeing some real variables in player data when I'm filtering by ball type (Penn/Wilson/Slazenger etc)

rc86, thank you, I know you did work cause of the surfaces I listed I didn't even mention GreenSet, only other GreenSet surface I have is in Limoges France

I'll look at Wilson, your input is greatly appreciated... very greatly appreciated

I get so buried just keeping up with excel & trying to post some trends here I sometimes have to rely on others just for a simple google search as silly as that may sound

                your work is appreciated bud

if you can verify wilson that would be great, I might just email the event to verify also...

you would be surprised how many events I've emailed that don't know their surface or ball type though LOL

not sure if they use different balls for doubles but here's a pic of nadal and lopez

                    errani/vinci

pretty sure this was the nadal/simon singles match

                    hope this helps!

The [1] link in rc86's post leads to a PDF that says

Surface: Hard (GreenSet Grand Prix Cushion)
                      Official Ball: Wilson Australian Open

                      .

the whole reason I want court type is in the offseason, I plan on working a court speed average against spin rates (and other cool shit) based on HC surface

cause anyone that has played tennis, knows that HC surfaces really do vary a lot
