Sorry for being off-topic but need clarification on Tennis wagering.

If Stan is +1, will I lose my wager if he gets swept in the first set and win tie-breakers in the next two? It's the one sport where I can see someone winning ML but losing the spread as the underdog. Regardless, Stan ML seems solid; perhaps a small play on the over.

so you'd be extremely unlucky if he won 2 tie-breakers to lose the first like 6-1 or 6-0

Wait what are you guys talking about? If Stans wins the match as a dog the spread will win too, doesn't matter what the spread is bc he will have won SU. The spread only becomes a factor if he's a favorite - then not only would he have to win but he'd need to cover the spread as well. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the question?

Ok. Let's see Stan is underdog with +2,5. If the match ends 1-6, 7-6, 7-6 for him games will be 15-18 (17,5-18 with handicap) and you loose spread. I hope that clarifies

Stan has been garbage most of the game I agree. Rafa has just basically been paddling the ball back waiting for Stan to make errors.

Thanks for the clarification; I didn't want to learn the hard way! Probably won't matter with this total tank job.

It's such a weird scenario where a hedge could hurt more than moneyline. Alternatively, it could save your butt if the favorite loses but wins in points. I guess the only other sport I can see this happening in is volleyball.
