Couldn't agree more with this. He was just hitting back balls in center for Fognini, and it was just his phenomenal defense that kept him in the game. But no attack. Amazing.

i haven't bet on nadal, not even thrown him in on some tennis parlay when he's -500 fav or something, for the last 2 years. Whether he's in a funk that he EVENTUALLY comes out of and wins a few more tournaments, or he's officially a has-been, he's 100% a no-bet. It's sad, I love the guy and he's a competitor but he doesn't have what he had 3 years ago, it's extremely strange. But everyone should know better than to bet him. The last 18 months, he might get you the occasional win, but will inevitably burn you.

Nadal can't beat the top guys on hard courts anymore. His knees can't handle it. He will win another french for sure and probably wimbledon too. Nadal will be back, not ever at the consistent level he was at, but he's still a top 4 player in the world for sure and will continue to be. Bad year for Nadal. Roger needs this title, let's go.
