next time perhaps expand the limitation on seeded players.
maybe to only top 10
nobody should be able to have both Djoker and Murray
saying only 1 pick from #1-4 then ppl just load up on 5,6,7,8 etc.

For me the best idea was to only play seeded outside the top10. Or only unseeded but that looks really harsh, but that would be really better.

For any potential tie breaks, everyone who is near the top should do this.

Pick the total # of games for either the WTA or ATP Final. Your choice.

In the event of a tie, the person closest to the total without going over is "winner' for that slot. If both go Over, then the closest to the actual total is declared "winner"

Using your example of points structure:

Seeded Players
R1 Win = 10 pts
R2 Win = 20 pts
R3 Win = 30 pts
R4 Win = 40 pts
QF Win = 80 pts - x 1 Berdych
SF Win = 160 pts - x 1 Murray/Djokovic
F Win = 320 pts - x 1 Murray/Djokovic
Unseeded Players
R1 Win = 20 pts
R2 Win = 40 pts
R3 Win = 60 pts - x 1 Tomic
R4 Win = 80 pts
QF Win = 160 pts
SF Win = 320 pts
F Win = 640 pts

At the end of the tournament, I should be on 620 points.

How am I on 980?

Also, I'm tied on 980 with two others.

Using your points distribution, this is again incorrect. We had identical picks, but they had Kyrgios and Nishikori. I had Berdych and Tomic.

I lose 20 with Tomic vs. Kyrgios (unseeded round 3 win vs. round 4 win), but I gain 40 points with Berdych vs. Nishikori (seeded round 4 win vs. QF win).

So I should be on 620, they should be on 600.

Unless I've missed something, all of it is off.

You get the pts listed next to the RD for each win. So Djokovic got you 10 for R1, then 20 for R2, etc. You don't just get the total next to the RD for them advancing that far, it's cumulative.

SirtySree, just in case, the reason you missed out on the tie for the last spot was because the other two guys sent in tie brekers, which was going to potentially bump some people out as I stated. Just wanted to be clear in case that was a question.

I dunno how the free plays work. How are they different from regular BP?

Just like a free play at a sportsbook. It'll be credited in, but you only get your winnings on a bet made with them - not the original bet amount + winnings like you get with cash.
