I've played from +635 to -770. I'll get my average if you're interested.
I've hit a +520 dog, and my biggest play yesterday was -176.

My average odds are about +104.4 over all my picks.
If anyone likes, I can send a spreadsheet with my odds so far. The notion that CrazyLou bets exclusively chalk is a myth.

Congratulations, Lou! There was never a doubt in my mind, you don't just know tennis, you love it, and anyone who takes five minutes to talk tennis with you will find your mastery of the topic to be self-evident.
God bless Lou and his fuzzy yellow balls!

Actually, considering the number of picks I'm putting on the forum, I imported every single play from my 2009 Tennis Picks thread into Excel, and in cross-checking I discovered a play I had marked down as a push was in fact a winner as confirmed by TennisInsight. I had been unable to locate the score for a few days so assumed the match was cancelled and marked it as no action as no one I spoke to could locate it.
And while I correctly accounted for my last 12 of 18 in W/L, I hadn't updated my overall stats yet, so I'm a bit better than 50%. If anyone would like to see the text of my spreadsheet, you're more than welcome.

Not attacking or trivializing your record (you've seen my sparse and terrible picks) but I think a weighted average would be more appropriate. If I play 10 units each on 10 -1000 chalk I could get a +100 average by playing .1 unit each on 10 +1000 dogs if I am simply averaging the lines...
I think betting chalk in tennis with a certain degree of capping is profitable and just as noble as betting the dogs, whatever makes you win. Just saying...

I hear you, but by the same token I don't go around flaunting any averages suggesting I'm an X or Y bettor, I was just replying to the poster that had asked about the average odds I play. I think anyone will find, if interested, I've mixed up my game quite a bit so far, and I hope to make money this year in tennis as I hope everyone else does too: with or against me.

So, what your saying is that you actually don't play these picks? I mean, if it was a winner it would of reflected an increment in your sportsbook balance, or am I wrong?

No, not what I'm saying. I make a large number of tennis picks each week. I'll check my sportsbook figures at the end of each week normally. That's how I verify that my records match up with my real money figure.
For forum plays, however, I previously had no designated sheet for, so I decided to track those individually so that the accounting was more efficient. I'm still betting those plays, but it's but a tiny fragment of the number of plays I have going in any given day.

I kind of like the idea of putting time into an off sport. If you get to be good I think it's a big edge. Do you post your picks before the matches start so we can get down on it Lou?

Yeah I usually post in the mornings.
I'm by no means a "tout", but I don't post every single bet I make. It just wouldn't be practical as I get into many positions daily, most right near gamestart, but I post a selection of my stronger picks on the day.
Konck ... check out the Tennis handicapping Forum ... lots of good info there.
