Brisbane - First ATP Event of '09
I'm excited for tennis season to get into full swing. Does anyone know how fast the plexicushion hard courts are? I capped Ginepri over Bennetau -135 before knowing this...

Tennis is back! To a successful season

I like Baghdatis over Nieminen.. new season, no Baghdatis injury problems anymore, better on a faster surface. This marks the beginning of a successful climb back into the top 20!

Fish over Melzer but I'm not too sure, both guys are inconsistent.

Oh yeah the new tennis season is finally gonna start! Hope Federer wins at least one GS this year! On the other hand I'll have to wait until April before I can start playing outside on clay

      For today I have:

      Dechy 10/10
      Beck 7/10
      Soeda 6/10

I'm not betting anything this next week, just trying to get a feel back into the new season.

Mathieu -3 (Mathieu should be able to win maybe 6-4 6-3)
Reynolds +110 (Nishikori's first match, Reynolds has been thru qualies and is up and firing)
Ancic -3.5 (Should be able to below out Delic) - top play
Llodra (Not that simple, it depends on form but Llodra should get it done)
Soderling (with possible Benneteau upset, you know how Soderling gets sometimes)

Mostly favorites but oh well, let's see.

And I simply love that Taylor Dent is back, one of my favorite players on tour before he took a few years off

Yeah I probably shouldn't be betting this early in the season, but what can you do At least Nishikori won, this kid has a BIG potential imo. I watched some of his matches on last years US open and he was very impressive, hope he gets top50 this year if not higher.
