    Is Bet us that bad?
I'm an old time bettor, I used some Carribean svs in 2001 for a while, never got screwed. I wanted to bet the baseball game last night, so I looked up this PIA place that kept sending me crap in the mail. It was Bet us. So I got online and punched in my account number and tried to send 100 bucks. It took my account number and then wanted my last four of of my SSAN, so I entered it. Then it wanted all of my SSAN, so I refused and called them personally. They said they need that or for me to send/fax them a copy of my driver's license and some other stuff. I said screw the whole thing, but they have my bank account number.

    So my questions are these:

    1) Is this usual to ask for this kind of info?

    2) Are they gonna finish the 100 transfer and try to screw me out of that?

I Googled, "Bet us sports scams" today to see what might happen.

    THx

Do you expect they'll try to finish the transaction and screw me?

It is pretty standard for books to want some kind of ID verification. Different books want/accept different things.

I don't think there is anything to worry about with what happened here.

BetUS has had some big issues but it shouldn't be taken to mean every single thing that happens with them is going to be trouble.

This just sounds like an aborted transaction that will be forgotten.

That cool, I appreciate the word. Do you think I'm being hypersensitive by not wanting to give my SSAN? That's just too much info, my back acc #, SSAN and whatever else they wanted, ah just too much.

It is a little scary to give out all that info including the 3 numbers on the back of the card. I hit a big prop and had to fax BETUS a copy of BOTH sides of BOTH cards I had used in the last 3 months and include my drivers license #. I did not have to include my social. Despite what I have read on this thread (and believe me I was nervous) BETUS did FEDEX the check and I received it in 3 days. It did cost me 50.00 however.

I dont use them, but I just got another brochure in the mail. Im skeptical of this company. They are the only company that always sends these brochures. Personally, I dont remember signing up there, but I am sure I have never posted up there and I never will.
