As a NJ resident I'm wondering how our Governor is progressing with his allowing sports betting in NJ casinos. Last I checked, it was going to happen for this football season. And last I checked, football season starts tonight and I can't make a sports bet in an AC casino.

He's the same as all of the others, only he weighs more.

Before you call him fat and let your politics get in the way, I would do a simple google search...

The 4 major sports leagues and NCAA sued NJ on Aug 7th.

Monday, Theodore Olson filed paperwork to join NJ's legal team.

What Christie wants to do is technically illegal. This is the first step. He forced the hand of either the gov't or the sports leagues to challenge him. The leagues did. This lawsuit will now probably take a year to work its way up the legal system to the ultimate battle in front of the supreme court.

Since the law is unconstitutional (Fed gov't preventing one state while allowing another state), the Supreme Court should overturn it.

Then it'll be legal to bet in AC and horse tracks.

    Patience my fellow New Jerseyian.

As a lawyer I'm aware of the suit, but he's said more than once that it was going to happen and he wanted people to try and stop him. Well, given that football season has now started and we can't make a bet in an AC casino.....they've stopped him.

And he's fat no matter my politics, which happen to be Republican. I voted for him, I have to live with him.

I admit, I was stupid. I expected a politician to say something and actually have it happen. My bad.
