New Jersey sued by NCAA, pro sports leagues

It was just ten weeks ago that NJ Governor Chris Christie boldly declared his plans to proceed with establishing sportsbooks in Atlantic City. The outspoken head honcho of the Garden State barked the following: “If someone wants to stop us, then let them try to stop us." The remark turned into a very polarizing soundbite, which might have been what Christie hoped for.

The lawsuit is without merit, of course. What argument can be made that sports betting is fine in four states but not five? (Of course, if we make the move from four to five, it won't stop there, but that's a discussion for another day.)

New Jersey will probably win this case, although it may be tied up
in court for a while.
If they win, more states will allow it. With many states strapped for cash
I would think at least 10 more will start offering it.

I agree, snowball... I know Rhode Island & California have both mentioned in several times as possibilities, along with NJ of course.

NJ has an upper hand with casino gambling in Atlantic City being decimatied by Pennsylvaania's new casino's as well as Indiain casino's in NY
Christie is selling this an attempt to save Atlantic City and I believe all but 1 sportsbook will be located in AC, then I'm assuming they'll add phone and internet account services to anyone within NJ's borders
