Here's the bottom line: If you gambled with sportsbook.com then you got scammed and didn't really gamble because you were never getting paid. If by some miracle you got paid, then the money you recieved probably wasn't worth the headache of waiting for months and months. I got scammed by sportsbook.com and moved on with my life. I had a check bounce for 1,800, etc, etc. Some people actually use the site after getting scammed. Holy Shit. You're dumb and please STOP POSTING. The whole idea of posting is to help each other by spreading information. Sportsbook.com is not a sportsbook. END OF STORY!!!!!!
Can we ban Sportsbook.com posts please?

#2Totally disagree. You said "the whole idea of posting is to help each other by spreading information."
So why shouldn't people with money there continue to help each other by sharing recent payout experiences? I personally appreciate those who share these experiences rather than merely ranting about how it's a scam book.
I wish the rants (like yours) would stop, not the sharing of information.Comment -

#3Are you for real? Sportsbook.com is not a real gambling site. John, consider yourself lucky that you found SBR and only play with A plus books. Simple as that. Some people actually continue playing there after getting scammed. I just can't read these dumb posts written by clearly dumb people anymore. You want information, here it is: DON'T PLAY AT SPORTSBOOK.COM AND IF YOU DID THEN MOVE ON BC YOU'RE NOT GETTING PAID!!!!!Comment -

#4Your response has nothing to do with anything I said, you just repeated your original post, but that's ok. You offered your opinion and I offered mine. Best of luck to you!Comment -

#5I have to admit, sportsbook.com posts/threads have become like background noise to me and I don't even notice them any more. Are there a lot of them?
I guess so.
I don't even know enough about the topic to know if banning is worth considering. Do they still accept deposits at Sportsbook? If so, I have no problem with any discussion that might prevent someone from making that mistake.
If anything, I would consider that to be of above-average usefulness on the forum.
I just had a quick look at the site and it looks like they would still take deposits. No?Comment -

#8You have a point Rob, the sportsbook.com threads are getting tiresome...and old. There is always something that is getting beaten to death on any bulletin board. Part of the process. Skipping over those threads is part of the process too. I don't think SBR would want to kill/censor a thread that doesn't hurt its business model or dis the sponsors (or in this case does the favor of dissing the sponsor's competition). Posts are currency for the site owners.
I will offer a suggestion on the delayed payment threads though (which seems like the larger issue to me). Maybe the threads that are flirting with immortality would die on their own if SBR could create a database that would allow us to input our payment experience (this problem isn't going away anytime soon). Could also build site traffic for SBR....and make it easier for them to present the monthly recap they already offer on payments. I already input the following into a spreadsheet (could just as easily record it here):
- the book's name (drop-down list for SBR guide),
- the amount requested
- the date requested,
- type of request (check, ***/netteller, **/**, debit card)
- processed date,
- date of receipt,
- date check (if applicable) cleared,
- screen name of contributor
Even if the list only gave us average queue time for the by book/payment mechanism, for the week or month the payment originated, it could be a useful tool that would get to the heart of the matter.
...or maybe there wouldn't be enough people volunteering information to make it worthwhile.
Just a thought.Comment -

#9Just ignore the Sportsbook threads and stop making a big deal about it.
It is an important situation that hopefully lots of new readers notice it everyday.Comment -
