#37They send you a little bit of money to your account, you have to say how much it is. Like $1.27 for instance. That way they know it is your account.Comment -

No, moneybookers does not do this!
In order for your bank account to be verified you must initiate a wire-transfer from your bank in your own name to moneybookers, when they recieve the wire transfer funds they will then consider your bank account validated, or if you have received a wire transfer from them scan and send a bank statement showing you received the wire, this will also be valid.Comment -

#39Thanks for the correction Betplom.
Did they do that to verify my credit card then? I remember having to put some amount in, and messing with it for a while until I figured it out.Comment -

For example they were planning to offer something similar to the Neteller prepaid card but still there is no such card. I think such an additional card would be a further big improvement and very useful.Comment -

#42I emailed CS about the card, they said it was supposed to be released in January of this year, but due to present economic conditions **** pulled out or something. They may find a way to get us the card in the future but for now it is uncertain.Comment -

#44I have used **** to fund Moneybookers in the last year, and also occasionally for a direct deposit to a sportsbook so I don't know what they were talking about. I think, once upon a time, they may have phoned me after I did a gambling-related transaction just to confirm it was okay. That's about it.
Maybe they have an official no gambling policy but they just don't know these transactions are for gambling. They just see company names and don't know for sure what they are about. I really don't know but I have used my **** now and then.Comment -

#45I'm sure they know these are gambling sites. After all, you weren't given VIP status were you? You were given VIP Gambler Status, no?
When you sign up for MB and verify an AMEX credit card, it will pop up with a warning. Something like, "please note that any deposits made via your AMEX cannot be used towards funding gaming/betting websites".
As others have said, they charge your credit card an amount between $1-$3 U.S. (be sure to enter the USD amount, not the CDN equivalent). You tell them what this amount is and your CC is verified.
For verifying your bank, you can send them a wire, or request a w/d to your bank account, then send them a photo of your bank statement with their withdrawal listed there.
But the real way to get your limits up is to send photo ID and a recent utility bill. This increases it exponentially.
Their message board system has gotten better, but the average wait is still ~ 1 day for me. Of course I only messaged them before I got VIP status (regarding limits, ID issues, etc.), so I don't know how much better it is for VIPs.
Anyways, some of this post was new, some re-affirming what others have said.Comment -

Scotia is a tough bank when it comes to online gambling, I know of many people that have problems related to Scotia **** and online gambling.
I use TD and CIBC for funding moneybookers and use my CIBC **** for deposits to books sometimes always without hassle.
If Scotia is a headache for you (very likely) give CIBC or TD a try.Comment -

#47Oh yeah if we're talking about Scotiabank, don't even go there. They are complete psychos when it comes to gambling. I have stories about that. They're like some weird branch of the US Republican party. I don't know what's going on with those guys.
The **** I use hassle-free is through TD.Comment -

Is there any trouble in the end for clicking non-gaming?Comment -

#49Any help would be greatly appreciated with moneybookers.
I added my bank account to moneybookers but my bank does not have moneybookers on their list of payees so I can't transfer money to them.
And like I said on the post before...moneybookers asks before each credit card deposit if this money will be used for gaming or non-gaming. My credit card does not allow when I type gaming, so if I put use for non-gaming is there any risk or trouble in doing so?
Thanks.Comment -

#50Yes, u will get into a mess if you click off "non-gaming".
You need a **** that will allow gaming.
I clicked "non-gaming" once by mistake, the only way I could clear that up was by sending the money to a friend who then returned it to me. I couldn't spend the "non-gaming" moneybookers money in any sportsbook.
Was a pain in the ass.Comment -

#51I don't have much help to offer. I don't know why this stuff works for me with no problem. I guess it is all stuff that was set up years ago. I don't remember if there was a secret handshake or how it all got going. Sorry.
This part sounds strange:
I just give my bank the various whatchamacallit codes (swift, IBAN) that I get from the Moneybookers site. I am not aware of them having to match a list. But maybe they do and I just don't know it.
So I guess the moral of the story as far as that goes is, TD bank must have Moneybookers on their list.Comment
