    StarLottoSport French Open wagering dispute

A StarLottoSport (unrated) player submits a tennis wagering dispute. The player states a wager on Arnaud Clement vs Alex Bogomolov was graded as no-action. Bogomolov was injured during play and retired from the match, thus the final scoreline was Clement 6-2, 3-6, 4-6, 7-6, 5-4. SBR is investigating the complaint. | Read more

Should the book not be given at least a day to fix the wager?

That is VERY efficient, half of the inquires on other books do not see this quick reaction on the forum. Plus, it is my understanding that most of the books call any unfinished match due to retirement as no action, there are a very few exceptions so I'll say it is pretty much standard.

I think it's good to have this up. I wouldn't be surprised if a few books had trouble with this particular match because of the way the Chair Ump initially called it on court. And for posters who aren't that familiar with how tennis rules vary from book to book, they might give up on pursuing their bets. Even 365 was slow in grading this one - at least to their standards - because of the confusion surrounding this match. However they didn't immediately void bets (as per their policy)... they just held off until they clarified the situation. I know nothing about StarLotto but if it's a decent book, it'll be graded properly by now.

There is a nice discussion around that on another thread.

It gets confusing enough when books have different rules about retirements but when the official announces the wrong result, that definitely doesn't help things at all.
