W...U... Refund question

So my dumbass sent some $ via the above mentioned route. Turns out I sent it for pick up in the receivers foreign currency instead of US. I say I clicked on US currency when filing online, they say otherwise but I digress. So I called and cancelled after 5 dimes says they can't accept it. West to the union says because I cancelled within an hour I was getting the amount and fee credited back to my account. My question is how long does this normally take? A week? Not a big deal but would like a rough timetable on when I get the refund credited. Thanks

it was Philippines, I know there was an option to select which currency and I thought for sure I clicked US, but I guess not.

Do it fast cause it's Memorial Day weekend and the banks won't be working Saturday.

it depends on the bank. Typically W....U.. credits back transactions in 3-5 business days. Until then it will just stay in PENDING on your CC. Keep in mind TYPICALLY. I have had it take over 7 business days before to fall off. I also have had it fall off in 24 hours.

On a serious note- the WWUU wouldn't let me send online recently to phillipines and I just did another one in person a few days ago and they put the transaction on hold because it was going to CR they told me they wouldn't release the funds unless the receiver had a picture ID.. Seems like they are scrutinizing these transactions more but if they didn't allow them they would lose a shit load in profits due to the hundreds of thousands that play online and use this method....

i canceled once and it took 2 days to credit bank to my bank.
