    sued by who for what?

you don't really think Citibank, a US bank, could sue Citibet, an Asian betting exchange, for trademark infringement right?

Citi is probably a registered trademark in which ever country that is located. The are a Multi-national company. If I'm wrong I do apologize, but they operate in almost every country on earth.

IIRC Citigroup lost a trademark case in the Philippines (where this exchange is based) that was brought against CitiSec, a stockbroker, five or six years ago.

    Hi

Yes, I have heard of Citibet but don't know how you get an account with them.

Someone said you have to go through an agent.

And where are the agents to be found?

    Can anyone please help?

    Thank you

By all reports the Asian exchanges are absolutely massive particularly on racing products and yes you use an agent to get in. Some suggestion of manipulation of Australian tote (pari mutuel) pools to profit from lays on Asian exchange of much greater amounts.

Especially as you are ALWAYS moaning you cant get on your aus horses etc anywhere./

Either that or you are a bullshitter.

    Very different to Betfair.
You get paid the tote dividend but bid for it at discounts between 12% and 24% and can bet in running until the horses are in well into the home straight.

The above is a touch misleading.

The dividend (tote) and ticket rebates ring true for pre-race betting.

In-Running, you pay $6 for a $5 ticket and get paid at tote odds, betting closes with approx. 400m to go.

I suspect HarmersHaven is probably more into the working details than I.
I only bet pre-race, not in running as it seems he does.

i am also an agent and daily bettor at citibet and happy to answer any questions

a few from here have accounts with citi.

theres much more liquidity than betfair. and as harmers said in-running is quite big. if you're a layer and know your sectionals, it can be a good place to be as they bet heavy on the on pace/leaders in running.

as hareeba said its only racing - horses, harness and dogs

from an aust racing perspective i would say 50% plus are asians that can bet discreet, you can tell this cause liquidity gets better after yum cha.

theres quite a few that trade. you have a static payout so theres alot that like to buy their bets say at 82 and sell them at 90 (basic arbing..asian style)

theres probably also a number that cant bet at any corporates and the liquidity is much better than Betfair with less tax.

and there are layers that get better value laying against the tote than you can on BF.

the asian racing has unlimited liquidity , you could quite easily get 6 figures down on any given race.

@Faststeady, thanks for the useful info. I think you probably already know this from the tone of your posts. But please don't get involved with drumming up business through the forum. Just don't answer if people PM asking for contact info.

It's not too hard to find agents with Google. Just make sure you do your due diligence.
