explain to me how bovada is not involved in the seizure.
If federal agents were making bets from Maryland from june 2009 until jan 2012 then as of dec 14 2011 wouldn't they have been directed to bovada

It doesn't really matter if Bovada and Bodog are the same. Bovada's domain and assets are outside the U.S. I do not see how the DOJ can do anything to them, other than disrupt processing.

If the feds want to go after Bovada, they have to go after the Mohawk nation in Canada. Now while I'm not saying they wouldn't do that (they have the power to go after anyone, anywhere), it does have political implications. Governments relationships with sovereign indian territories is unique, and I doubt the Canadian government would want the US getting involved with the Mohawks. They would however, not hesitate to go after US banks and processors who handle some of the Mohawks money. But I'm sure the Mohawks have it spread around enough so that a bank account seizure or two isn't crippling. In fact, it's probably already allocated a percentage to seizure in their business plan. And quite honestly, with the vig they charge, and they protectionist manner in which they run the sportsbook, I'm sure they can handle the occasional loss of a bank account.
