Several, but almost none anywhere near 5dimes ballpark with as good of odds. Good luck also trying to consistently pick a golfer to have it be his week where he plays way beyond his average for 4 rounds and get every needed break to overcome an entire field.

I would strongly advise to not try and do it on a week to week basis

            Azzuri,

Carib does not offer odds on all players in the field, hell I don't even see ANY listed right now.

I enjoy the guy on http://fantasygolfreport.com Excerpt:

That, however, is not even close to the biggest blowout in Match Play history. In 2006, Stephen Ames was set to face Tiger in a match and dared to say that "anything can happen, especially where he [Tiger] is hitting the ball" but what Tiger heard was apparently, "anything can happen, especially where Tiger's hitting the Perkins' waitresses." Tiger won the first nine holes and then halved the 10th for a 9 & 8 win but those days are long gone. Now we've got some guy named Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano telling the world that Tiger is "beatable" before their match and it takes Tiger 18 holes to prove him wrong.

He's not a professional (which is probably a good thing), but someone passed the along to me. Match play, he was correct on when Woods and Keegan's early bailouts. And when majors come he has decent takes on names we usually only see on leaderboards.

Are you posting your winners anywhere before the tournament is over?

Sounds like maybe Az. could post the winners before the tournaments.

Bovada has many of the golfers, but not all, HOWEVER, if there are some golfers not listed, you can e-mail them and request them to be added, and they will do so at a fair price (they seem to take them right from the big Euro books). Bovada also has FIRST ROUND LEADER bets almost every week. These are great, as it only is action for the first round, and many longshot golfers can fire an opening 63 with no pressure issues, whereas they start folding up like an accordian on Sundays when they have a chance to win.

But overall, you can't beat 5 Dimes for golf pricing openers. They have had 150 man fields with holds under 12%, which is BY FAR the lowest juice in the openers. They also have odds for every golfer to finish TOP 10 and TOP 5. This means you can try some long shots who are 200-1to win the tourney, and instead bet them to finish TOP 10 and get 40-1 with a much higher conversion chance.

It really makes sense to know your odds conversion rates for betting golf, so you can have a better chance of having a golfer "live" on sunday, by betting multiple golfers in a self-created field bet. For example, if you play 4 golfers at 200-1, 3 at 150-1, and 3 at 100-1, you can create a 10 man entry at a price of +1340. If you have a field of 132 golfers, you're getting a play that at least is in the ballpark mathematically, and gives you a stable of runners.

Betting golf can be a thrilling win, or an agonizing loss. When you have a pro miss a 3 footer that costs you a 5k payday, it can really be unnerving (and probably something gets broken), but a big score from a golfer is almost theatrical, and if you enjoy golf action, even with mostly pain for occasional glory, it's certainly a unique and special form of action.

This is very true about betting on outright tourney winners, its definitely a roller coaster ride, large paydays are made and lost on lipped out five foot putts. And realize this: if you play a stable of golfers regularly, you will inevitably finish SECOND more often than you will win the tourney (since only one guy wins, multiple guys can finish 2nd). It takes a strong stomach to have to live with more frequent agony than reward.

I think you pretty much hit it on the head. Anyone who has bet golf understands the highs and lows of betting on the outright winners of the tournaments.

I have to add that live wagering golf tournaments (like WSEX had in its heyday - no idea what they do now) is intense as it gets.

In majors, I used to ride no-namers on Friday's leaderboard in hopes their price would rise in value and dump them on Sunday. The names were cheap so my downside was protected and if one took off? $$$$.

Yeah I used to do that as well Shea, too bad WSEX is a scam book now, but I still do check their live golf lines just for reference time to time
