    Question about limits
Does someone know how much is the max. for each bet until they blocked and set some limits???

    Nowadays I bet 500, 750 - 1.000 on each bet

Do you think that someday they will set some limits in my account ???

    Sorry for the english

No universal rule to it. All books vary.
And mostly it doesn't come down to how much you bet or even how much you win.
It depends on how you bet and whether you beat them to the line and odds moves.

depends where you bet. BetFair and pinny will have high or no limits. so will some asian bookies.
others - will limit you very very soon. and yes - it depends on your bet type. if you snatch best price on whole market, you will be limited to 5 usd in no time.

That is what I don't get. If the books don't want you to take the best price out there, why do they put it up?

yeah I keep hearing about how even semi pro books like betcris and the greek will limit players that "chase steam" and win. I can understand them cutting you off if say you follow RAS and take em for a good chunk of cash.

But just the other day I was looking to play Denver Nuggets -12 and find that it moved to -12.5 just about everywhere an hour before. I see the Greek still has it at -12. When I place my bet there am I technically "chasing steam" and building myself a bad rep at the book?!? What's more "pro" then a "pro" line shopping at a bunch of "pro" books?

I bet on AH and O/U and I try to make a profit of at least 3-5k per month, betting 1-3 matches/day.

Or i try to get of a profit of 60% of my bet in 30days or 1 month.

if you are doing those bets at pinnacle or sbobet then you will probably never get limited

                    Thanks for the replies.

i actually bet on bet365...And soon i will try to use other sportsbook

And I need to say that this value of my bets is the maximum that i will do.... 1k per bet is my own limit...

Sometimes in really rare cases i bet 2-3k in a AH match, but it´s rarely.... +- 1 per 1 month or 1 and a half month...

                    = )

See that's what I though too but in another thread I was told that books don't care how much you win as long as you don't beat the lines.

When you bet on a line that they intend or move or should have moved, they can't work with the action.
