5dimes PISS POOR customer service

yeah yeah yeah they got the best options and they pay and all that jazz --- thats why i still play there.

but their customer service or lack thereof is just God awful. so the other day i went to make a card deposit and the option is gone. ive made 100s of card deposits without incident since last year. i get on chat and they kindly tell me that my name came up in some database negatively so they changed my account to 'cash only'. 5dimes is the only sportsbook ive ever played at and 90% of the time i only use gift cards to deposit. never did any kind of fraud or ********** crap (dont even think u can do that with a deb!t card). ive never used my current deb!t card at any other gambling website or for too many things (only had it for about 6 months). so i tell them this and the guy tells me fine, we'll let u deposit with gift cards and only gift cards.

i say whatever, it is what it is and i can work with that. so i buy one at the store and go on the chat like they told me to have the cc department make the deposit for me. i got on chat around 615 b/c i wanted to play the redwings-blues game at 635. guy on chat put me on hold to get to cc department for like 15 minutes. i asked him what was going on and he said still waiting for them to respond. then 5 min later i get disconnected from chat. so i try to get on chat and nobody responds for like 5 minutes.

by now im already shut out of the game but i wanna play other stuff tonight so i decide to call the 800 number. 40 rings and no answer. call their other 800 number. 20 rings no answer.

still unable to get my deposit in. been a customer for 2 years with many succesful and deposits and 1 4-figure cashout. very unhappy and thinking about switching to betislands.

finally got my deposit in on live chat. had to wait another 10 min or so to be transferred and then finally gave all the card details and he said it was successful.

still have no idea why 'my name came up in a database' and it sucks that i gotta go thru this extra crap just to get money on. hopefully it will be easy to cashout

Saturday I bet a prop at 5 dimes on Dennis Pitta O2 reception at -110 to win $100. The bet gets accepted. I click on "review wagers" and get booted from the site. I log back on, click on "review wagers" again and it shows the bet accepted at O 2 1/2 (which is a massive difference on a prop like this). I go back in my browser history to confirm I made the bet at 2, and the page shows that I did indeed place the bet at 2.

Now the fun starts. I connect to live chat, and after telling the CS rep what happened he tells me that I am wrong, but agrees to check when the line moved so that we can confirm when it moved and compare that to the time the bet was placed. Over the course of an hour the CS rep repeatedly tells me that the line is being checked for me and they'll get back to me shortly. Finally I get fed up and ask to speak to a manager. The CS rep refuses to do this. I'm sick of waiting, so I tell them to just cancel the prop and email me the time of the line movement when they get a chance. The CS Rep agrees to this after a significant amount of time. When the bet is finally cancelled he then tells me that they never release the times of line movements to the public. So not only did my bet get changed to a worse line after I made it, but the CS rep had me on hold for an hour just to be an asshole.

The bet gets cancelled. Pitta gets 5 receptions on Sunday. I miss out on $100 and have an hour of my life wasted.

This isn't the first time 5dimes has exhibited atrocious CS to me. I keep betting at 5dimes because there really aren't comparable options for the things I like to bet (props and boxing), but it's really frustrating to have to deal with a book that treats me like dirt.

The database 5Dimes referred to is one many industry books share. It's an anti-fraud measure. I've never heard of anyone being put on the list for no reason - one of your details would have to resolve to an entry in the system, but perhaps it was something out of your control like a recycled IP address.

If the line changed in the process of asking you to confirm the wager without you seeing "review NEW price" or similar, perhaps there was a software hangup and it sounds like that's why they made a good faith gesture to cancel your bet. Did you want them to physically edit your ticket? I've never heard of that being done, either you have action at the ticket's price or not.

tha woj, I have never had a problem depositing at 5dimes ever up until yesterday. Luckily I did it earlier in the afternoon but it took almost 2 hrs to get completed what usually takes 15 mins! Twice on live chat it took over 15 minutes a piece just to get an operator, I have no complaints up to this point hopefully just something weird was going on yesterday and it wont happen again cause I dont know if I could handle that on the regular.

I still can't believe people deposit with cards nowadays.... use cash... avoid ALL the hassle and get your money as soon as you want. Its just plain dumb to use any type of CC to gamble online.

could not disagree more,i only use books where i can use my prepaid DC,way way to much of a hassle to send and receive cash

The only kind of bettor that CCs are good for are the 50-100 dollar deposits... I can't imagine wasting my time with betting 20 dollars per game. Such a waste.

Lou, I totally agree with you that it was likely a software error that accepted my bet at 2.5 when I made it at 2, as the line had changed when I logged back in. I absolutely think the right thing to do in this case is accept the bet at the line at which the bet was placed. Every single book in Vegas would have done this. However, I'm familiar enough with the offshore betting industry that this was not a likely outcome. What made me mad was the CS rep lying to me and having me on hold for an hour telling me they'd check the time of the line move, only to tell me at the end they don't give out that information.

The CS Rep's actions are totally indefensible no matter how you look at it.

5dimes is the best for soccer and props and you will get paid. However, since I stopped betting props and soccer I see no reason to put up with their piss-poor customer service and there are other books who pay.

I've also had their customer service blatantly and obviously put me on hold for no other reason than to piss me off. Once this piss poor bastard actually said hold on and started to whistle on the pone for the next 5 minutes. Mother fuckin bitch!

They swear they are never incorrect.... yet I'm keeping track. I'm 4/5 only 1 time have they been the maanager tried shoving it in my face(grow the **** up buddy)- all 4 times they end up pissing me off for hours only to give me what I want... and with no apology for being dicks.... when I try to be polite but after a half an hour i usually break down with my patience.

5dimes always talks down on it's players they could care less what you have to say about them and that's why ill never send them my money. their betting options are great they just need new management IMO.
