    Question for "Bovada Service"
    Bovada Service -

(I put this in another thread you were in,, unrelated to this topic, but I think that thread may have run it's course

I think I saw others discussing this elsewhere but don't remember if it was addressed.

When I see a bovada line I'd like to play on sbr lines. I go to bovada and before logging in I see the same line. I log in and the line(or juice ) is different. So I log out and see the page that shows your lines to those not logged in and it still shows the line that attracted me. I log in again...... different line .... and so on.

This has happened just about every time in recent weeks. I hardly go there any more. My balance is small and playing there isn't real important to me at this time. But this kind of thing will keep me from ever considering putting more money in.

    Can you comment on this?

They can't and won't. They deal a dual lineset and you sir are on it. This is because you were betting their obvious offlines and they decided you were "smart" and now you are put on the real lines. SBR won't be changing that either to help you as they don't care about you as a customer. They care about tricking the masses into giving money to Bodog which in turn gives them money.

Nobody but new customers or idiots get the lines that Bodog and Bovada advertise. On their real line set, most MLs are 5c worse on the dog, and various basketball and football games are either a half point worse of 5c worse on the dog. When you initially begin playing at Bodog or Bovada, you will receive the advertised line set. After making a few bets, if you haven't bet their donkey lines, i.e. betting the Packers -10 -115 when every book has -110, you will be switched to the real line set.

There's no way to take advantage of it other than to bet the max on the good lines on the advertised set until they switch you. You'll probably be able to make 4 or 5 bets before they do that. Betting small won't allow you to fly under the radar as their software treats a $10 bet the same as a $500 one.

I'm sure Bovada and Bodog will be responding here shortly with something along the lines of:

Hi guys, allow me to clear this matter up. There are two reasons you're seeing different odds. The first is because all wagers have both 1) a point spread and 2) a price. For example in +7 -110 the +7 is the point spread and -110 is the price. This is the same for everyone two lines. Also a second issue, which only effects the 0.004% of our clients located outside the United States: As explained in the quote below by the COO of (??), the software allows for the odds to be displayed in either 1) American or 2) European odds format. No matter which you choose the payouts are the same even though there are "two sets" of odds. If you're unable to change from American odds to European (or vice versa) please first contact support. If unsuccessful PM me and I'll get in touch with the CTO of (??) myself to see this matter is addressed.

Yes, Bovada and Bodog always deny dealing dual lines. Their other canned response is something about how lines are moving all the time and the odds service might be delayed.

The other sneaky thing they do is only take action on one side of the line. You bet the "right side" and after a long delay they say "Sorry the line has moved, but you try to bet the "wrong side" and the bet is accepted.

I just wish I had bet heavy at the beginning before they moved me off the square lineset. I was betting small, because I had just started with offshore books.

You'll be waiting for an eternity, I think SBR blacklisted them for this in 2003 or 2004? Then in time other sites like bowmans started to do the same and whether it was shady or just business was debatable and in time SBR lightened up their stance. Was long before there was a forum here.
