The first online book played with was Intertops in 1997. I read about it in Casino Player Magazine.

I just read a recent copy and they tout Betonline, Oddsmaker, and Bodog.

Personally, I think all three books suck.

I was an originator so had to learn by feel as the books were all just starting up, you young guns have all the info available now to pick good books but so many do not do research or just more worried about a scam bonus.
