if somehow you manage to win and we all know that isn't going to happen. they will shut you off faster than the spicket to the sewage treatment plant in downtown wherever in costa rica. just play with heritage or tony and stay in fla where you belong.

that speaks volumes for not moving to that third world cesspool where costa rican thugs will be marking you in order to break into your apt eventually when you're out doing a ** deposit. do not leave this country for any reason ever. moving there to surf is ludicrous.

Not true.. it depend on where they live. I been there Costa Rica many times .. There have good place with security private gate and security on 24/7. They should not worry about it. never mind them at unusialsusp5. because his words are not true. if you went to limon east of costa rica will be risk and if you are in red zone in San Jose .. it will be risk to go .. but not always.

The crime level in San Jose Costa Rica is the same as any big city that has 3 million living in it. This will be my 8th year living in Costa Rica, and I haven't had any problems with crime.

I just found out that there will be illegal to get any paid in Costa Rica not matter what if it is not Costa Rica based. You only can play is their licensed casinos in Costa Rica period. You have no reason to move there if it cannot get paid.

Chilidog, I'm assuming that you live in San Jose?

Any places that I gotta check out on my trip out there? I'm thinking about teaching English there for a year or two, learn some Spanish, and gamble on the side.

Where'd you get this information at?

Correct, I live in San Jose. Sounds like a good plan for you. Fairly easy to get a work permit to stay here to teach English. How long are you coming for your initial trip? I would recommend at least a week to see most of the country. Beautiful place.

10 days. Arenal, Manuel Antonio, Heredia, and Jaco are on the agenda. Possibly do some surfing and most definitely checking out the Ticas.
