    Caliente race and sportbook
The Caliente race and sportsbooks in Mexico are a great place to play if your in the So.Cal. region. They also offer on-line gaming with I believe as low as a $30.00 minimum deposit. I was told when I was there today ( I live in Tijuana)that it was easy to set up but I have no first hand knowledge if that is true. If you are ever in the area try and stop in to one of the many different books in T.J. The books are within walking distance of the border in San Ysidro, the first one less than a hundred yards past the border gate. A short walk to the Pueblo Amigo, a shopping and hotel area where there are four different theme based books including a turf club site that will rival vegas for comfort. Everyone speaks english and are very helpful. Don't let the news stories of narco violence scare you off, my city is safe for anyone obeying the law.

                  correct, no moneylines

it also has very low limits for betting sports, for example they only take 1,000 usd mlb straights

if you bet 1,000 on any side, you move the line half a point, it is a complete joke!

I use the one in Rocky Point Mexico when I'm down that way, first time I was nervous 'cause I keep thinking what if they pay me in Pesos! Bet only NFL never there for baseball. Also they charge a fee when you win, I think 7-8 percent so the first time I question the payout, but I guess their book their rules.

Plus I don't always "obey" the law so I am fooked

Caliente is not for everyone, but I like the fact they have been running horses for over 100 years. And, seriously, if its not a dog, who bets money lines anyway?

I live in So. Cal and played there before the offshore era. Either it was the beheaded cop hanging from a telephone pole by his feet, or the charred remains of a firebombed car about a block away that kept me from coming back......

                              Can't remember which.
