Hey guys, I am wondering if I have a case here? I'll do my best to explain the situation:
The bookmaker I am talking about here is: https://www.sportsbet.com.au/
On Saturday 10th May I placed 5 bets on a V8 Supercars (Australian domestic racing series) Race.
Sportsbet had their original odds up before qualifying had taken place. Once qualifying starts, as per usual, they take the market down.
Now, when they re-opened the market they had adjusted the odds on each driver to suit their respective qualifying positions. So the win market was completely changed.
However, they reopened the 'Top 3' market - but the odds weren't changed. They were the same 'Top 3' odds as before qualifying.
So for example, I was able to back a driver who qualified in 2nd position. He was previously the 12th favourite and therefore his 'Top 3' odds were reopened at $4 - like they originally were before qualifying took place. He was about $1.7 at other bookies who had 'adjusted' his odds to suit his qualifying position.
About 10 minutes after I placed my bets (which were fully accepted), they cancelled them. Saying that "it was an error", and "they are sorry".
For the record, I managed to:
The reason I think that I may have a case is that the odds weren't an error in the true sense. It's not like random odds were opened. It was just neglegence on their part.
Instead, they just accidently reopened the "Top 3" market without making any changes after qualifying. They were still the original odds that just weren't changed or altered to match the 'win market' or the qualifying results.
What should I do?
Thanks alot,
Johnny.

For the record, I managed to:
- Print out and print screen the original 'wrong' odds page.
- Print out and print screen 'my bets' section under 'my account'
