Oddsmaker voids player's $800 winnings from free $100 promotion
Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) voids player's $800 winnings from free $100 promotion

The player was able to use the book's free $100 promotional offer to win $800 for a total balance of $900. He then placed a parlay bet bringing the account over $1000. Parlay wagers are against the promotion's terms and conditions. Instead of canceling the winning parlay, all wagering activity was erased and the bettor was "reset" to the original $100. Oddsmaker's sister book BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) is known for marketing free money offers to certain users and finding reasons to avoid paying those who manage to reach the required $1,500 mark.

Here are the terms on this promo this offering

          Terms:
Free $100 Specific Terms and Conditions
For clients who are eligible for the free $100 promotion you must wager the bonus a minimum of 10 (ten) times, minimum cashout is $1500, maximum cashout is $2000. Anything above $2000 will be forfeited. NO parlays or teasers are allowed, the free $100 CANNOT be used in the poker room (multi player). Customers who have not made a deposit and/or have already received the free $100 promotion (or similar bonus) are not entitled to this bonus. This offer cannot be combined with any deposits.
Bet on sports - Best Sportsbook offers, sports betting, odds & lines NFL & college football, NBA basketball, MLB Baseball plus online Casino

          Player:
History: Few months ago I've received a letter via regular mail with offer to open an account and get $100 welcome bonus (free - no deposit required). It was too good to miss and I have registered, got the $100 and started betting. I was lucky and made the over $1300 for less than 3 months.

The catch: bonus rules said "For clients who are eligible for the free $100 promotion you must wager the bonus a minimum of 10 (ten) times, minimum cashout is $1500, maximum cashout is $2000. Anything above $2000 will be forfeited. NO parlays or teasers are allowed, the free $100 CANNOT be used in the poker room (multi player). Customers who have not made a deposit and/or have already received the free $100 promotion (or similar bonus) are not entitled to this bonus. This offer cannot be combined with any deposits."

The problem: I have requested withdrawal of $1000 via bank transfer but this request was declined as the rules say $1500 is the minimum. However, they also cleared my account down to $100 because one of the bets placed these 3 months was a combo?

So they took all my winnings just because of one combo bet which was placed when i already had about $900 in profit.
Have you ever heard of this before? I would accept to void the winnings from this combo bet or even to void all bets placed after that but they noticed my account was on a big profit and voided all bets since it was opened.
I am almost sure they will ignore any attempt to contact them but I will be very grateful if you help me.

Player vs. Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-) Update

[iSBRFORUM]Oddsmaker[/iSBRFORUM] originally voided almost $1000 in winnings after the player placed a $5 parlay with promotional funds. Oddsmaker rules state that parlays will not be accepted in connection with these bonus funds but do not address subsequent winning bets. Oddsmaker did state that they would be adding a statement in their rules that would inform future players that a single parlay bet may result in confiscation of other winnings from the bonus. Oddsmaker has since credited the player with $73, the amount won prior to the offending parlay wager. BigJuicyOdds (SBR rating D+) read the SBR complaint report and has given the player a $1,000 free account with a 10x rollover.

Prohibiting the parlay is stupid to begin with.

Here's how to play Oddsmaker. (no vig lines to make it easier).

Bet the $100 on something, if it wins bet the $200 on something. If it wins bet the $400 on something. If it wins bet the $800 on something. If it wins try to withdraw the $1600.

                  NEVER make a deposit there.

Well I think they don't let people do parlays because if someone hits two or three of them, they can be at $1500 before you know it.

I actually did this exact promotion last March. Since there were college basketball games every night that time of year (conference tourneys were going), I just put it all on a teams money line every day, sometimes two or three times a day. A week or two later I had the funds over $1600. I cashed out, and it took some time and I went to the live chat once or twice a week, but I did get a check. I don't recall how long it took exactly, I would guess between 1-2 months. Sure it's kind of BS that they took all of what he'd won so far away, but if you just follow the rules and don't give them a reason to mess with you...

I'm working through this same promo. I've been playing parlays/teasers, but my understanding of the T&C's was that these bets wouldn't count towards the rollover. I didn't think this would cause my account to be reset. Maybe I should talk to support. Actually, I've lost half of the original $100. But, since I've been playing parlays & teasers, will they reset my account back to the original $100?

Not the first time this book has pulled this stunt. But like doug said, try it but dont ever deposit real money because they have a big problem paying out real money.

Why don't you guys get a life and actually bet some money, I don't mess around with promotions and I've never had a single problem with them.

Wow, so BJO had nothing to do with it, but felt bad and gave the guy a free $1,000 acct? That's pretty awesome. BJO, if you wanna hook me up with a free acct, I got screwed by BetUs and that's how I found SBR.
