    Instadebit and Echecks in general
So i signed up today, all great everything went threw, made a deposit into my sportsbook...(Betcris) Now I just realised im a little short. Not a problem I will be more then happy to add it some funds into my bank...BUT i just realised not only are the banks here in canada closed today, but tommorow as well...so do these count as business days or not. If i was to add funds the day after boxing day, would it be too late?

Thanks guys AND MERRY XMAS TO ALL!

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum RJ

I don't know what the banking rules are like up in Canada. Although, I would be lead to believe you would have till like noon that next "business day" before your transaction is completely transacted. So with that being said, my advice to you would be to go to your bank as soon as it opens up and make the proper deposit in order to make sure your [iSBRFORUM]Echeck[/iSBRFORUM] clears.

e-ckecks and Instadebit transactions are processed during business hours and you'll have time to get the funds deposited before they get withdrawn by e-check/Instadebit.

I can tell you from experience that different banks receive/send the funds at different times, ie I Have both CIBC & RBC accounts, transactions at CIBC show up in the early morning (5AM) and RBC show up late afternoon (between 3-4 PM).

Can you deposit some cash or checks through the ATM machines?

I do it with my bank with cash and checks. It will only let you use half the amount as "available" and then the tellers approve the other half when they actually get the deposit from the ATM...

I work at a bank and I would say this would be your best option if the money is available immediately or at least enough to cover the transaction. If not, in the US anyway, these are run in the morning before the open of business so there would be no way to get there in time. There is another run at the end of the day, but most of the time it is morning around 7:00 or so depending on the financial institution.

You might get lucky with the holidays and be able to get in there today, but if you have the atm option I would do that immediately. Just make sure the money is considered available if you deposit through the ATM because all institutions are different on this.

banks are closed on boxing day. As Betpom said different banks have different rules. I know at TD everything clears at midnight so I would have all day tomorrow to get the deposit in. Now my BMO account is different as cheques clear early and deposits seem to get there late.
I would use the ATM if at all possibly today.
