you're right, no one in the US are allowed to bet. the greek is not taking any US players. i don't think any people in the US should break the law. all the posters who claimed to have accounts with the greek are in fact ex pats who are now living outside of the US jurisdiction, so their gambling activities do not break any law in the states. if you think i am wrong, then you can ask them yourselves.

As long as you are not in the "business" of gaming, you are not breaking Federal law. Whether or not you are breaking state law, depends where you live. SBR lists which books take U.S. players and which do not. Most books take U.S. players.

In the U.S. the police often arrest anyone they want, seize money and computers, whether or not they break the law, so it is best not to announce to everyone what you are doing.

Online gaming has the appearance of being illegal, which can cause you a lot of headaches, but so far they have just gone after the businesses.

The new law that came out amazingly made certain activities illegal for banks, but still did not make it illegal for the players. A player arrested under the new law would almost certainly be found not guilty, but it would be an expensive headache.

Impossible to enforce, the latest law is more of a nuisance and psychological blow than anything else. A lot of players and books did leave the market along with neteller; so far only some of them have returned. Eventually almost all of them will be back, is my prediction.

Arresting online gamblers is about as popular as arresting illegal aliens in this country. The "problem" is mainly ignored by the government unless you start doing it in their face, or on a large scale like neteller.
