Why not PAYPAL for online gaming?
Why is PAYPAL not an option at any of the sites? Considering all the bootleg stuff they process through ebay, they should jump on board.

Paypal use to process gaming transaction about 5 or 6 years ago for everyone, however when Ebay bought them out they stopped processing. Since then some Euro's did win a lawsuit that gave them the right to resume processing through them, and a handful of books like BetFair, and Ladbrokes offer that payment option these days.

I think some people did find away around this one though here in the states by going to ********.com and ordering a **** debit card. Then they allow you to deposit money your debit card from paypal. I'm not sure if this method still works or not, but it was about 3-4 months ago.

Ebay didn't want the heat, and they turned out right. Can you imagine the feds arresting ebay founders instead of just Neteller?

Ebay paid the US Govt a huge amount of money to get out of that one. I cant remember how much, it was a lot though.

Their demise led to the rise of Neteller.

eBay actively co-operated with the religious rightists when UIGEA was knocking around Wash DC, before it was bootlegged into a port security bill.

Reason? Ebay is scared crapless that the govt will allow cash-hungry states to violate the Constitution and tax interstate commerce: ie, to allow the greedy states to lay a sales tax on out-of-state sellers shipping to a state with a sales tax.

CEO of eBay (which as been noted owns PayPal), billionaire Meg Whitman, would likely pull a 500 + man train on the stops of the US Congress to avoid that corporate killer. (If I had to do it I'm OUT of EBAY immediaely)

Another issue is whether Congress may pass a bill requiring online middleman sites to send the US Govt and individual sellers a W2 income tax form, for their online sales.

If so, or it the legislation is even proposed, sell your eBay stock immediately - that will cause at leat 2/3 rd of all ebay sellers to go back to flea markets.
